01 / The rebuild
Far beyond a visual upgrade.
What began as a remaster grew into a near-total modernization of the original project.
Since FIJOY Games brought Floorball League 2010 to Steam in 2025 and launched Floorball Editor, we have modified, rewritten, optimized or replaced almost every part of the original project. The goal is not to erase what made it memorable, but to preserve that identity while rebuilding the experience around modern systems.
The remaster keeps the identity and feel of the original while improving gameplay, rules, AI and player responsiveness. Its rebuilt foundation also delivers faster loading, smoother performance, sharper presentation, new modes and deeper progression.
02 / FIONA technology
Our engine for the next generation of FIJOY games.
FIONA stands for FIJOY Integrated Object Network Architecture. Our in-house engine and production framework powers the remaster’s rendering, assets, interfaces and tools.
It replaces the original game’s fragmented legacy technology with one modern foundation for rendering, interface, content, tools and platform support. The floorball simulation players remember remains at its core.
- Modern materialsPhysically based materials deliver more natural surfaces, equipment, glass, fabric and arena detail.
- Dynamic presentationReal-time lighting, shadows, reflections and modern image processing give every venue greater depth and atmosphere.
- Faster loadingOptimized resource handling, shader preparation and loading paths reduce interruptions and improve consistency.
- Built to scaleA shared engine, editor and content pipeline supports higher-quality assets, broader hardware support and future FIJOY projects.
