Who is responsible

FIJOY Games AS (organization number 924 990 112) is responsible for personal data processed through this website. We are based in Nittedal, Norway. Privacy questions can be sent to hei@fijoygames.no.

Data we process

• Technical and security information, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps and failed login attempts, may be recorded by our hosting and security systems.
• Messages and contact details you choose to send when you contact FIJOY Games.
• Account and profile information for authorized WordPress administrators and other approved users.
• Direct invoicing or accounting records, if created, where retention is required by law or needed to resolve a dispute.

We do not intentionally ask children to submit personal data through this website. A parent or guardian may contact us if they believe a child has provided information.

Why we use it

We rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, answer ordinary inquiries, and maintain authorized accounts. We process records when necessary to perform a contract, comply with accounting or other legal obligations, or establish or defend legal claims.

Where we ask for consent for a specific purpose, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it was withdrawn.

Cookies

Most visitors do not need a FIJOY Games account. When someone visits the WordPress login page, WordPress may set a temporary cookie to check whether the browser accepts cookies; it contains no personal data and is removed when the browser closes.

For authorized users who sign in, WordPress uses authentication and preference cookies. A normal login lasts up to two days, “Remember Me” may last up to two weeks, and screen preferences may last up to one year. Logging out removes the login cookies.

Sharing and external services

Information may be processed by providers that help us host, secure, back up, and communicate through the website. They receive only the access needed to provide those services and must handle the information under applicable law and their agreements with us.

The site retrieves public product prices, aggregate review scores, news and selected Workshop details from Steam on the server and keeps only limited fields needed to validate and display that information. It does not load a Steam iframe or Steam tracking cookie during an ordinary page view. If you follow a link to Steam or another third party, that provider may process information under its own privacy policy.

Some providers may process data outside Norway or the EEA. Where this occurs, the transfer must rely on a lawful mechanism applicable to that provider and processing activity.

How long we keep data

We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purpose described above. Hosting and security logs follow the applicable provider or system rotation period. Correspondence is reviewed and removed when it is no longer needed for the inquiry, relationship, or a legal claim. Account data is kept until access is removed, statutory accounting records are kept for the period required by law, and backup copies expire through their configured rotation cycle.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability, or object to certain processing. These rights are not absolute; we may retain information where law or overriding legal grounds require it.
